I am bringing PCTH (Pacific Aerospace & Electronics) to your attention as a possible short term trade, with good long term possibilities. I am not a technical expert but am reading about it, and it looks to me that PCTH has possibly developed a double bottom in the $2.00 area over the past three months. It closed up 5/32 to 2 5/16 on Thursday on volume of 261,200 compared to average volume of 119,454. Volume increased every day last week.

Earnings for the quarter ended Nov 30 should be out any time. The stock is down from a high last year of $7.03, primarily due to a .29 loss in the first quarter ending August 31, resulting from acquisition cost writeoffs, which dropped the stock to a low of !.44. There are 15.99 M shares outstanding and 12.80M float.

The company announced on December 15 they had hired BancBoston Robertson Stephens to explore acquisition and financing options in hopes of boosting revenues and enhancing shareholder value. (A $69M acquisition of British company Aeromet last summer will double revenues to over $100M this fiscal year ending May 31, 1999.)
