Paul Allen has been selling his MSFT shares at a very rapid pace. This guy is loaded and he sits on the MSFT board. Why would he want to get into a business where he will lose money (maybe he nothing better to do)? I think the co-founder of MSFT probably is a pretty sharp businessman. Either he may work out big deals with MSFT or acquired these businesses because he knew they would be bid up eventually. I don't know much about the profitability of cable (i don't invest in them)--- but I can see these companies getting bid up because of their potential for the internet.
