Amazon.com Sign E-Commerce
Agreement

CBS SportsLine Opens the Doors to New Virtual Store with Amazon.com

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. & SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1999-- Visitors to CBS
SportsLine, the award-winning sports Web site published by SportsLine USA, Inc., (Nasdaq:SPLN -
news) now have millions of additional reasons to visit the popular site, thanks to a new agreement between
SportsLine USA and Amazon.com. Under the agreement, Amazon.com, the Internet's number one book
and number one music retailer, will become CBS SportsLine's online retail partner for books, video and
music in a newly launched, co-branded store on the CBS SportsLine site
(www.cbs.sportsline.com/u/ptl/amazon).

In keeping with SportsLine USA's commitment to offer sports fans the most comprehensive sports
experience available, sports-related books, videos and music will be highlighted in the new co-branded
store, in addition to Amazon.com's complete catalog of more than 4.7 million titles. SportsLine USA will
build and maintain the co-branded store and will promote it throughout its Web site.

''Our strategic goal in forging e-commerce relationships is to offer our users the best products and
merchandise available in the marketplace today,'' said Andrew Sturner, SportsLine USA's senior vice
president, business development. ''Amazon.com's decision to enter this business relationship with
SportsLine USA demonstrates the enormous value of our content and the purchasing power of our
audience.''

''This arrangement with SportsLine USA makes it easier and faster for fans to find and discover exactly the
sports books, videos and CDs that are right for them,'' said Ram Shriram, Amazon.com vice president of
business development. ''That's what online shopping is all about - finding exactly what you want, not
what someone else decided to put in a store.''

The new store features and promotes an assortment of Amazon.com products within SportsLine USA's
expansive offering of sports news, features and information. Amazon.com's vast selection of sports and
outdoors books, videos and CDs, will be available at the same low prices and with the same commitment to
customer service that distinguishes Amazon.com. Store customers will appreciate the customer-friendly
atmosphere and ease of navigation, as well as an efficient ordering process, a secure credit card purchasing
guarantee and expert and customer reviews to help shoppers find what is right for them.
