<Rockwell and AMD will announce a new chipset in late December that will allow LAN over home phone lines. The chipset will also contain dial-up (analog) modem and ADSL capabilities...> Please note this will be for DMT ADSL, not the first generation CAP ADSL that some PC makers have aligned with ADSL vendors to provide modems for. CAP is inferior to DMT; DMT is the next generation and will eventually dominate (if you don't believe this look at the technical specs - DMT can provide 255x what CAP can do).

ROK (now CNXT) held off until the spinoff. Also, delays due to Holiday shutdown that is typical of all Aerospace (and former) firms - closed week of X-mas through first Monday of new year.

I'm hoping for an announcement soon.
