Maxwell - re: "K6-3 is 15% faster than PII clock for clock!"

If it has 2 MegaBytes of L3 cache it may be faster than a Pentium II.

But that raises the system cost !

And by the the time Sharp-Eye is introduced, Intel's Pentium III/Katmai will be introduced and - VOILA - the K6-3 will be INCOMPATIBLE !

Do you know what the word INCOMPATIBLE will mean to AMD sales ?

I'll bet you do !
