Yeah, it's the volatility that gives me pause to make any recommendations. I keep hoping to see another pull back, and I'm sure we will somewhere along the line, but I think the last correction with it's tremendous rebound really emboldened a lot of investors, so I guess my attitude is if your long term bullish, jump in and don't sweat the small stuff. I agree with you about the tech boom too. Once the Y2K stuff has been fully accounted for on the spending side....OTOH if Y2K ends up costing more than estimated, tech could take a hit. What I've heard so far is that y2K isn't costing as much as was first thought, but what we don't know for sure is why. If we see a mad rush going on in the 1st & 2nd quarter of 99, it may show that the decreased actual spending thus far has been due more to laggards getting into compliance. bp
