To SKIP PAUL: You may well be right that GTE is left out of Bell Atlantic - Airtouch merger. But think that is looking at wireless synergy only. Bell Atlantic wants to merge with GTE for many reasons with a major one of them being landline and especially GTE's fiber assets. Fun to speculate. Regulatory hurdles will be great in any case, but the FCC may look more kindly on a major nationwide competitor to some parts of AT&T's business. Who knows? Chaz
