Skeeter,

I can always tell when you are holding PUTS b/c your posts get more biased than usual.<g>

This 256mb chip IMO is nice to have in development for the server market but silly to consider for your main product line. The market right now is for PC's with an average 64mb SDRAM and by the end of this year approaching a need of 96mb to 128mb. This is handled quite adequately with the 64mb chip at $10 per chip. 256mb chips are only necessary when the PC needs approach 256mbytes and that will not be necessary until 2001...and I am sure MU will be there to maintain market share just as they did with 4mb, 16 mb and now 64mb.

IMO MU is in the best financial position of all the major DRAM suppliers especially compared with LG and HYundai. Samsung is the only real threat to MU and I don't believe it is a serious threat. I believe they will work with MU to maintain supply/demand balance and keep pricess stable from here on in.
