the issue is cost. 256 mb chips will shortly be less expensive to mfr, per bit, than 64 mb chips. remember, low cost producer wins???? of course, when the koreans take the lead in the cost structure, it is no big deal... when mu says they think they are the low cost producer, ya'll go into convulsions... ;-)
