Technical point: I believe when they say 256 MB chip they are not talking about 256 Megabytes of SDRAM. It takes 8 256 MB chips to make 256 MBytes of RAM because there's 8 bits to a byte. I learned that on the Rambus thread. Sorry if I'm wrong, but you might check that. The other thing that makes me think I'm right is, if the manufacturer sells a 64 MB chip for $10, aren't they getting screwed if it goes retail for $80-100?
