Wily, You are right...but that is not what I am talking about. 64mb chips were needed to make 64mbyte modules. You could not configure 64mbyte modules with 16mbit chips. The maximum size with 16mbit chips is only 32mbytes. That is why the 64mbit chips started to sell b/c 64mbyte systems were in demand with the advent of the Pentium II systems. As demand for 64mbit chips increased then crossover finally occurred. It was a good observation that you made and shows that you are thinking. Good Luck DavidG
