I have a dispute with NDB (national discount broker). Anybody can provide any suggestion or assistance?

I have a GTC order to buy 1000 shares of HLX at $5.625 until I cancelled it on the evening of 12/28/98, when the warning from the company came. On 12/29/98 NDB executed the order for me at $5.625.
I called them immediately and request a dispute. I have two reasons: 1) the order was cancelled so it should not be executed. 2) HLX tanked on 12/29/98. It opened at $5 and remains under $5 the whole day. It is ridiculous to execute it at $5.625.

NDB replied to me several days later and I just got their message today at office. They said they are not going to do anything since my order cancellation came to them too late. It is nonsense to me. But what I can do besides switching broker? Any organizations to complaint to?

Thanks in advance.
