Again, in defiance of much opinion here, I have gone ahead and also bought a Yahoo LEAP put, strike 180 for 2001. If anything like a classic bear market begins in the next eighteen months, I think I will at least get my money back. If not, I will just postpone retirement another few months. So now I am positioned in both Amazon and Yahoo. Because everyone seems so confident of the stability of Microsoft, the puts there seem relatively cheap. Yet when we see what has happened in the past to IBM's stock, I can imagine MSFT at half its current level. Any thoughts on this?
