Dutch Family Sees '98 Out With Flash In The Pan Monday January 4 4:35 PM ET dailynews.yahoo.com THE HAGUE (Reuters) - A family in the town of Monster near The Hague was caught short on New Year's Eve when a festive firework blew up their toilet, police said Friday. ''Someone threw a firework bomb into a drain leading to the sewer under the family's house and the explosion shattered the toilet bowl,'' a police spokeswoman said. Police said no one was injured in the incident as the toilet was not being used at the time. The Dutch traditionally see in the New Year with an impressive and noisy display of fireworks and firecrackers. This year there were fewer firework accidents than in previous years and no serious injuries, the Dutch news agency ANP said.
