Hi bill, If it is true that the bulk will be 10000 tonnes, IMO, this means that in addition to the NW peninsula, a bulk will be collected on the south shore as well (perhaps even from the north shore too, IF they can quickly locate and identify the subcrop edge with the drill and excavator). If you dig through the news releases and look at the diamond counts per 10 kilogram sample from the south shore area, there is no doubt that a bulk sample from this area of the cone sheet would exceed the results from the two 100 tonne samples collected from the NW peninsula. In addition, it would mean that in addition to revering about fifty 10 carat diamonds, one 30 carat stone should turn up as well. If Winspear does announce that the sampling program is moving up to 10000 tonnes, I interpret that as "pouring some JP-4 on the fire" (for those who don't know, JP-4 is high octane jet fuel). regards, teevee |
