WPCKR,
I realize this is a digression, but having just retired from the auto collision repair business, I feel compelled to point out that damaged frames are successfully repaired every day, often more precisely than when they had rolled off the production line. This is where I get to refer you to my website:

accurateab.com in which vehicle repair questions are discussed. Unfortunately the e*mail portion is inop so don't ask any questions. We only fix cars, not software.

Mr Lum is correct. The frame complaint is a non issue. Just as Mr Turtlman's methanol infrastructure complaint is a non issue. The US government's Department of Transportation takes the safety of the auto driving public extremely seriously. Hundreds of cars are purposely crashed to test those unibody "frames" and their ability to safeguard the occupants. The Honda will probably turn out to be stronger, more rigid than my full frame Bronco. But as you engineers know, mass times velocity equals momentum, and bigger is better. At least today, while gas is plentiful and cheap.

The methanol infrastucture complaint will cease to exist as soon as the US guv sees the need. Tax incentives will be just piled up around Ballard's automotive contribution. Just as soon as it is seen to have the potential to be a real non-gas-guzzling player. Sid, you may be right, perhaps it will be 6 years out or 10, but "if we build it they will come."
