tonyt and Mudcat, any comments on this recent LGND early redemption deal? Seems strange to me. Wonder if we will ever find out if this was prearranged at the time the warrants were issued. Seems like very expensive move as the warrants had only 1 1/2 years to run. I do think that perhaps if the stock price is way up a year and half from now and the warrants were exercised at about 7.5 there would be a charge against earnings for the difference to the market price. Perhaps a CPA or someone else can clarify this. Even so this move seems stupid and unfair to other shareholders.
