Did your broker tell you buyers of calls lose money most of the time as better than 80% of options expire worthless?Sellers of calls have the advantage just as in Vegas.The reward can be huge for the buyer but I'm not sure it offsets the risk.
Have you thought of maybe rolling out a couple months?I like to sell out of the money calls just to collect a premium occasionally but this can backfire too.I've rolled them out when I knew I'd lose my stock if I wanted to keep it.Hope it works out for you whatever you do.Near expiration anything can happen.
