Perhaps the folks over at Handloader could tell us how much methane accumulation would be required to get a specified velocity out of the alternative gerbil cannon. I can imagine the tables now - servings of red beans 'n rice, waiting time, gerbil weight in grains, velocity in feet-per-second. They could do mid-range trajectory as well. Might eventually spin it off into a new magazine. Speaking of spinning it off, what kind of lands and grooves would be required...? Steve
