They tout SAP to be the next Microsoft etc. etc.

The implications of this are big. SAP is an icon of over-spending for marginal gains in business productivity. That tells you more than the cooked-up numbers from Slick's administration. I personally consider performance of SAP stock in times of spending-spree is like that of a bullish analyst in a bull market. You really don't need either of them.
I expect some fireworks in over all market today - on the downside:
