CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 1999--THQ Inc. (Nasdaq NM:THQI - news) Tuesday announced it has signed a new agreement with game developer Adrenalin Interactive Inc. (Nasdaq:ADRN - news) to create next generation Brunswick-licensed bowling games for the PlayStation® game console and personal computer (PC).

Both products are scheduled for worldwide release in the fall of 1999.

Building on their successful franchise of bowling games, THQ and Adrenalin's sequel products will offer several brand new features while taking the unique characteristics of the original ''Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling'' titles to the next level.

The realistic 3D simulations will again feature state-of-the-art technology and incorporate the sport's best-known license, including Brunswick Pro Staff(tm) pro bowlers, authentic tournaments and equipment.

''Continuing to work with Adrenalin enables THQ to deliver to market the most realistic bowling physics game model, incorporating the most popular bowling license,'' said Steve Ryno, chief creative officer, THQ. ''Adrenalin's expertise and THQ's proven success in the game arena will give fans another unique ten-pin experience.''

Jay Smith, chief executive officer of Adrenalin Interactive, stated: ''Our relationship with THQ has been mutually beneficial. Because of THQ's continued ability to respond to an increasingly demanding marketplace, particularly in the area of bowling games, Adrenalin Interactive looks forward to continuing our relationship to meet market requirements.

''According to market statistics, almost every successful bowling game for the last several years has used software developed by Adrenalin Interactive.''

Adrenalin Interactive develops and licenses console video games for Sony, Nintendo and Sega consoles, entertainment titles for personal computers, and ''play-to-win-cash'' games for the World Wide Web. The company also develops and licenses electronic toys, particularly interactive, Web-powered toys that are refreshed from a PC via the Internet, and publishes or licenses certain PC games in 24 countries and 15 languages. The Adrenalin Interactive Web site is www.adrenalin.com.
