Anyway you slice it, this company has been on the bleeding edge of tech for 50+ years, and in fact way too often was years ahead of the market with their far sighted inventions, resulting in wonderful tech but lousy or non existent eps from them. One thing this co. isn't in danger of is obsolescence! Gus, all your posts recently relaying info from the informative road show have given me reason to hope for after 2000 as well. This co could easily be said to have TOO MANY irons in the fire, which is one reason I suspect they'll go easy on the manufacturing of KM. sounds like they've got such a loaded pipeline they could use hundreds of millions of cash just to commercialize more of their astounding patent portfolio. They could do with a hundred more engineers I suspect to fully exploit their far future tech possibilities. After all, this company INVENTED MR heads back in 68! And here we are just seeing them come on strong 29 YEARS later. Near and long term, they've got tons of promise.

One thing I'd noticed before which Gus reminded me of in his post 1417, is that KM helps "seal", or stabilize, in my layman's understanding, the teeny tiny magnetic bits on these increasingly dense and tiny tracks, thus preventing leakage of magnetic bits. This IS very important for the future, and is one more heavyweight reason I'm fully expecting KM to be incorporated into MR heads, tho now it looks like agreements may not be signed till later in the year or early next year for MR heads.

The recent selloff to 8 3/8 region is just in sympathy with the market selloff. What isn't known is whether it'll get back into relatively comfortable 9 region, or descend again into hi 7's. No one should expect this stock to be priced rationally yet, at least in the short term. Our penalty for being right early is the frustrating months of seeing the price go down for no good reason. Ah well, this one sure looks like a KEEPER for a very long time. Bramson seems singularly PROFIT minded, and as largest shareholder, STOCK PRICE minded. I expect much more commercializing of their leading edge technology in the future. Going from KM strength to many new opportunities is looking more and more like a soon and coming reality!
