Gus, James and others,

I would like to thank you for the amazing and insightful posts, I am sure many feel the same way. Please know that we appreciate your work.

I have been trying to figure out what is meant by "activating a Keeper layer using MR". Thanks a million for the informative post.

I attributed the drift in the stock price to the realization in investors (big) that the price may not see upward momentum until KM is proven to work with KM. Especially since Ampex mentioned in one of their filings that one of the big disk drive manufacturer was only interested in KM in use with MR. But from Gus's post I now realize that MR may need KM more than the inductive heads, so what this means is that KM will not only be a performance booster but a "necessity" at higher densities, which will be a much better scenario. FC heads sound interesting too, if Ampex can prove that a cheaper FC head works better than an expensive MR head, phew! just watch out.

Even though the market might concentrate on KM in the short run, the company has many weapons in its arsenal and that is a solace to some of us whose average share price is higher ($10).

All I want to pray to god is for "patience" and no margin calls.

Keep up the good posts!
Dayal
