I emailed Varovision re Clickman product. Their response:

Hello,

First of all, thanks for your attention on our comapny and product, Clikman. I am Young Soo, Kim as the marketing director at Varo Vision Co., Ltd.

Upon your questions,
Would you mind letting me know the reason to ask us send our financials to your firm? Is there any special reasons ?

On the financials, please considering that we are an R&D company and start the business from late of this year.

We anticipate sales of, at least, 100,000sets of Clikman in 1999 , and the street price of it will be under USD250.

According to our schedule, Clikman will be available at May 1999  in The States.

Its engineering sample will be available at February or March 1999, at latest, for your test.

Clikman is the product which, we want to, creates new concept of Digital Pocket Solution(DPS), which distinguished from PDA, HHC..., and supports MP3 file player, voice recorder, organizer and removable data storage with 40MB floppy disk drive, Clik!. Clik! is developed by IOMEGA Corp.

If you need more informations on us and our products, you can find out more through our internet site at www.varovision.com , or do not hesitate to ask me.

Happy New Year !

YS Kim/Marketing Director

PS: we are going to be at Winter CES in Las Vegas from Jan 7 - 10 as a co-exhibitor od Samsung America, Corp. You also can meet me there, if you need.

(my comments: 100,000 units is about $11 million in units net to IOM, counting an approximate number of disks sold. If IOM is able to capitalize on ten more such agreements, the sales could be generous to their bottom line/especially given their tax write-offs this year. If anyone lives in the Vegas area, you may want to attend their conference and give an eye witness report. This report was sent to me on 12/29/98).
