My personal opinion is that no one should be barred ... either voluntarily or by force ... from posting his opinions here as long as no laws are being broken.

I learn a lot from most of the posters here, including Drakes. That does not mean that I *agree* with him, but I do learn.

Perhaps the best way to dissuade Drakes, and others of his ilk, from monopolizing the thread is to just ignore them. Let them post their opinions, whether blather or worthwhile, and just ignore them.

In the past, I've seen this done on several threads and the shorters just seem to lose interest.

If you feel a need to protect newbies from Drake's approach, perhaps you can find a message (previously posted) which exposes him for what he is, and just post a link to that message as a response every time he does it again. That way the newbies are alerted, but Drakes is not encouraged.

But let's not lock anybody out ... even voluntarily.

Just my personal opinion.
