Said Apple was "perhaps best positioned and most attuned to exploit the growth of the Internet." Said Gateway could deliver upside earnings surprises in 1999. -- Started Compaq Computer Corp <CPQ.N> and Micron Electronics Inc <MUEI.O> as hold. -- Said Compaq faces two challenges: Integration of sales and services organization from Digital Equipment and re-engineering of its distribution logistics. -- Said Micron has staged a major recovery but said an "open question is whether the company can execute its marketing strategy to target the mid-sized business market.
