Mike,

Two of my leap put candidates were AVEI and ATI. Both were higher cost suppliers and smaller players in sectors where price wars were evident; looks like both are getting bought out at significant premiums, looks like both will be stock for stock deals.

fnews.yahoo.com

biz.yahoo.com

so I get the leap puts tied to Medtronic and Vodafhone puts. They still have a strike, and from the look of bids on CBOE these are being discounted. Would it be an ill-advised contrarian strategy to buy some more of these before the merger? I figure the premium in ATI is a significant overvaluation that will be corrected in Vodafones' price buy Jan 2000?

Thanks art
