The Dip

Re: Why has MBI dipped down from the $7-8 range recently?

Good news (IMHO). A broker friend of mine that has MBTI on his radar (but is not considering recommending it until real-time auctioning actually kicks in, and maybe not then)believes that the reason for the dip is the recent spike to 14+ and back.

According to his view of the volume in the over $8 range, too many people who bought in $8-14 ended over bought and must unload a portion of their positions within three trading days to maintain overall margin requirements in their accounts.

The good news to him is that the three day margin call period is about up. He thinks momentum people may may have been dumping all along for the last 3 days but that the shares did not fall further because they are are under accumulation by a wider range of investors.

He expects that any favorable news will bring back the momentum crowd causing another (but more moderate spike) followed by a moderate dip.

Thats got me asking myself when is the next news due?

Hal

PS: I think MBTI's web pages look a little dowdy. You'd think an organization with these great prospects would "dress for success", wouldn't you? Oh well, maybe style will come with prosperity!
