As a parent who has 2 kids who both got color gameboys with pokemon games for Christmas, I have seen first hand that the game is popular. What I won't say is that I think KIDE will benefit from the game's popularity. The release of the pokemon dolls in Feb will be interesting but I'm waiting until then to decide if I want to jump on board or not. This one could be the next Barney in the making but kids are very fickle. If my kids quit playing with pokemon before Feb, that would be a bad sign to me. BTW, the pokemon cartoon is showing in my area (Dallas) but it is pretty weak even by cartoon standards. Of course my kids watch it so they will be my private financial advisors on this play. If they stay interested in pokemon the rest of Jan, I'll buy some. By then maybe I'll be able to pick it up for 7-8/share. Good luck to all the grownup Kides out there...
