What about manganese oxide? The company website has two sets of spec sheets posted, both of which specify 'manganese technology.' For reference: The cell phone battery (model 65K) specs (dated 9/98) show 3.8 volts, 1200 mAh, and dimensions (65x35x9 mm), with weight of 39 g. The laptop battery (model 44N) specs (dated 5/98) also show 3.8 volts, 3000 mAh, and dimensions (102.9 x 102.9 x 4.45 mm), with weight 94 g. Perhaps they're using the newer vanadium oxide anodes now, or perhaps those were part of what you're calling 'gen 3.' I also remember Lev saying that they had product in development that would obsolete that which they were setting up to produce. It would seem to me that if they posted something new as of 9/98, and that this was after they'd sent out samples from the semi-automated lines in Henderson, that those spec sheets would apply to the product they're currently producing. It would be nice if they updated the spec sheets. The laptop page is a poorly scanned image, and neither set of battery performance curves are easy to read. There were some other magazine article links that had more tutorial information about some of the materials. Does anyone have links handy?
