<<What is this about the PCI slots? Four after two monitors or four period, which means two monitors and two other things?>>

The Yosemite has 4 PCI slots--one of which is taken up by the Rage 128 card.

With regard to the two monitors you speak of, I heard something about a version of the RAGE card that had outputs for two monitors. Can someone confirm this? That would of course mean you could hook up two monitors while using only one PCI slot.

Regardless, you have three empty PCI slots with Firewire and general purpose graphics acceleration taken care of. That extra slot is enough to solve any problems I've had.
