No. I am very confident that I am completely correct.

Think of it this way, the opening price, as set by the MM's, is based solely upon the market orders placed during the time period from the prior day's close right up to the current day's open.

Very few circumstances would spur a professional to place an at-market order PRIOR to the open. Some will wait 15-60 minutes for the activities to settle down a bit before making a move, however, the majority will wait for the last hour of trading, to take advantage of exiting daytraders and other circumstantial events that have occurred throughout the day.
