Pre-kids, naked was the rule. But once we had babies, getting up in the dead of night every two hours led to a preference for warm covering. Then because I had boys, I stayed covered after the first couple of years. I think it can get pretty confusing for pre- and adolescent children as they sort through all the hormonal weirdness. Once I said to CW that I knew boys could get aroused at unpredictable times and that he shouldn't worry about it if he looked at a girl in school and that happened. He looked at me as if I were totally out to lunch-and said- "Mom, it has nothing to do with girls. I can get aroused looking at a plant." WHich struck me as very funny, but not him, I guess.
