Dan, Jude was Jesus half-brother and he knew about the grace message from Paul, who was brought to the disciples in Jerusalem by Barnabus.

Paul was in Jerusalem a short time after his return from Damaskus when he was accepted by the apostles as one of their own.

One note, Jude and James, Jesus brothers did not believe that He was the Christ until after His crucifixion.

There were many Jews that believed in Christ but still practiced the Mosiac codes of living.
