A little info...
Well, since Dial Data's server that suppports my Mac stuff is down once again, I won't be able to do any TA until I call them at 830 in the morning to let them know...again. So I decided to catch up on some reading.
Forrester Research out of Cambridge, Mass has issued their anhnual e-commerce report for the coming years. the bottom line is that the $43 billiondone online last year is going to pale agains the $1.3 trillion by 2003. That Trillion, with $19 billion in groceries and replenishment goods, $32 billion in books and flowers, and $56 billion in Travel and computers. The other $1.2 trillion will probably be come from trrading commissions...At any rate, it looks to be about 9% of the total US sales. Business-to-business etailing will be the next major push, with integration software (object request brokers and web app servers merging together - Alien, know any companies in this arena not owned by netscape or Sun?).
At any rate, there should be lotsof mergers and partnerships going forward.
