Hi Lachesis,

I am not sure if it was the MWD conference comments driving the
telecommunication supplier today.

TLAB said that it does not know of any reason for the jump.

biz.yahoo.com

Smaller supplier ADTN, PRMS, DGII and ASPT all pre-announced
misses in their upcoming earnings. All is not rosy for everyone.

There was a comment on one of threads suggesting that all suppliers to
ATI were up due to the take over bid, but we know from WCOM-MCI that
this should delay purchases not accelerate them.

I expect NT to have a good quarter. They should have shipped their
1 megabite modems to the ISP in New York state this Q. Mobile
wireless is on track from what I have heard. Fixed wireless is
still weak and there is pressure to try to meet some deadlines
in few divisions a few Q's out. The former Bay is the wild
card. They need to show they have cut their losses. I don't
have any insight into that division. Cable modem shipments should
be up, but is it enough to offset losses in the older lines
of business. From a technical perspective NT moved through the
200 SMA without much difficulty.

Are you hearing anything about purchasing by MCI-WCOM?

I almost exited my position in ADCT today as it hit my target.
I will need to evaluate tommorrow. It is important not to get too
greedy.

On the Y2K I was also think of going long CATP with a stop loss of 22 and the target of 31. This is more of a value play as opposed to a technical play.
