Douglas, its hard to say how the news release will be interpreted. Taking the it on "goodwill" assets now, rather than down the road seems like a conservative approach to me. I really don't know how much this kind of write-off has already been built into the stock. On the other hand, the release talks about a 15% reduction in personnel, closing of redundant facilities, etc. Generally, the market takes this kind of news positively. It certainly shows that the company is serious about trying to leverage its investment.

Bottom line is that my guess is that the market may have a short term negative take on this, but, it won't last long. PSQL is moving up in the world and if they can make a merger like this work its a very good indication that the company has good managers.

We'll see...
