There are three popular wine stocks on the market today. Chalone which has moved sideways or down for the past 6-7 years. Mondavi which zipped up last year and then dropped. Beringer was good as an IPO 1-2 years ago and I have not followed it recently. I prefer "liquid" stocks or investment wines like '95 Bordeaux futures, cult cabernets like Colgin, Harlan, Screaming Eagle, Turley Zins, etc. Even when the price is depressed you can still drown your sorrow in wonderful red nectar vs. stocks where you can get drowned in sea water. Anyone on the string ever sample the latter wine?
