That is very un characteristic of Waterhouse. Not sure where your local office is but here in Boise, they would have taken those shares off your hands. Soon as I question them here, they usually make good on what they do and erase all comission charges.

If you still want to keep the shares, I would at least raise enough heck to make them take away the trade costs.

PS- MMs do have a licence to steal, but you can raise enough heck to where they get some pressure placed on them by the brokers who have to cover their deeds.
