Stan,
Have any broker suggestions for someone who uses a lot of margin $500k+? One reason that I have stayed with Etrade that I didn't mention before is their margin rates are lower than the other online brokers, at least last time I checked, (a year or so ago). If I could just find an online broker with low margin rates that wouldn't @#$% me over when executing orders I would be a happy camper and could spend my time picking stocks that go up instead of fighting with my broker. I'm afraid that might be hard to do as it looks like they either get you on the commission or the spread or both! In my case the spread is killing me.
I feel a little better today. After I got stopped out of AOL I bought 10k EMC at 86.5 once again getting dinged by a 1/4 or so. So far it looks like I got the direction right (up) and will hopefully once again make $$ in spite of getting fleeced by my broker.
I'd like to buy some Nokia but if I'm getting reemed on large cap. NYSE stocks, what are they going to do to me when I put in a market order on an ADR? Maybe I'll buy WCOM instead.
Regards,Lee
