Marc,

I appreciate your comments on this board because
your comments here show you follow the entire industry
and not just ATI.

>>Do you own TDFX as well? <<

Well, I added ATYTF since $10(US). It just
got too undervalued, they're the market leader, they are working
the set-top connection I have clamored about (but it is still way too
early to call.)

Yes, did convert some of my "long" 3dfx shares to STBI as did others. This seemed to put additional pressure on the tax loss selling of 3Dfx, but we've had a strong move up since the closing bell on 98 which has not surprised me at all. The STBI shares got you into
3Dfx for under $11 - buying opp! Price still looks attractive to
me.

>> the consolidation is not close to be over IMHO. <<

Agreed. But this looks to only make ATI and 3dFX stand out IMO,
don't you agree???

>> My only fear is what if a third player come in and the deal don't work <<

I can't see the deal with STBI falling through since 3dfx has burned too many bridges with Diamond and Creative. Unless you mean that
the another acquistion will change the the graphics industry
business model going forward? But you're right in general, we're
waiting for the third player. Don't think it is Matrox...but
if we end up with 3 players, that's still going to give us
good pricing power going forward.

Waldeen

P.S. want to thank Scott Sellers for responding to the posters
