As a long-time AMZN owner, one who has spent much of his profits buying books (and selling a few)from Amazon.com, reader and infrequent participant on this thread, 2 comments:
(1) I watched this stock trade yesterday, all day, streaming quotes. LOTS of selling at the bid with trades of 1000-5000. 80 percent of buys were 100--800 share lots, with an occasional 1000 share buy. Moneyflow has been NEGATIVE the last 2 days (see WSJ), but the price goes up. What will AMZN do when money flow turns positive? Individual folks are driving this stock up. But remember what Mary Meeker said: at some point, institutions will buy. And then, look out above. People who claim institutions have been big sellers are mistaken. They have been neither buying nor selling. They're not here, yet (again, see the Meeker article in Barrons);
(2) With respect to the personal attacks and other nonsense on this thread. 3 points. One, Day Trader, knock it off with the CAPS-- this is simply bad manners. Second, DT, I, for one, would appreciate less bombast (e.g., "400 BY THE END OF THE MONTH") and a little (more?) analysis. Third, as for you shorts coming after DT, listen, you guys created him. That's right, you did. I have read a lot of smug prose from shorts who have had their heads handed to them. You know the phrase "what goes around....." Leave DT alone. He's harmless. Focus on the technicals of this stock, because fundamentals don't matter, and have not mattered for some time.
Thank you, and may we all profit. |
