I have a question about this passage from the article:

This sounds to me as if all this will be able to take place simultaneously on the same phone line.

Maybe I'm in a mini-technology vacuum, but I did not think there was a modem [or something else for a PC] that would enable someone to access one's computer account while talking on the phone at the same time. If a modem or whatever that does this is/will be made available, it would sure help with the problem of telephone companies coming up with new numbers and area codes--many of us would get rid of our second lines.

A home networking PC announcement was posted yesterday but had less information than what you posted. I put in my two cents on why I thought going the telephone rather than the wireless or cable route seemed a smart move to me in posting #42219.
