I agree that having 15% of sales through channels couldn't possibly have stopped this Q4 problem, and it didn't, their problems are too big for that. But 15% of sales through channels can be very useful leverage for a marginal quarter like Q3 was. The penny shortfall in Q3 and the channel stuffing rumor was a leading indicator. And remember, the guy that was fired is responsible for its North America Sales "Channels" and is being replaced by Lin Johnstone of whom Carreker said "I am pleased that Lin Johnstone, a well-admired and capable 'channel leader', will come from London to drive our North American sales organization.'' Channel Leader???
