Anybody still lurking on this thread? MK? Colin? Rich? MindSpring is buying Netcom's operations from ICG. Price is only $245 million for about 400,000 subscribers. As you may recall, ICG paid $225 million (net of $60 million in cash on NETC's books) a year ago. Pretty lousy 9% pretax gain for an ISP in 1998. MSPG gained more than 400% in the same period.
