Soros liquidates Esat holdings (NewsTraders.com) -- A shareholder group including George Soros no longer holds any Esat Telecom Group (ESATY) common shares, according to an amended Schedule 13G filed today with the SEC. In its previous filing on 2/17/98, the group disclosed holding 1,796,077 ordinary shares, or a 5.17% investment stake. On Dec 1, NewsTraders reported that the group notified the SEC of its intention to sell 475,152 Esat Telecom shares. Details surrounding the disposition of the Esat Telecom shares were not disclosed. Schedule 13Gs are filed by passive investors who have no extraordinary plans for the company, and contain ownership information only. Schedule 13Ds are filed by investors whose intentions may not simply be passive, and contain detailed information on recent transactions as well.
