Your findings on R&D are right on the money. It is way out of line for the amount of revenues they have. The high R&D lead to low profits which leads to low stock price which leads to talented CRUS engineers getting worthless stock options year after year. Does this lead to a brain drain from CRUS? Seems logical to me, what with shortage of good chip designers/engineers.

I also do not see how they add value to their products in the absence of effective marketing campaigns. People go out of their way to buy an Intel processor PC, maybe they also look for "S3 on Board", but it seems like Cirrus has zero name recognition for the consumer. Is that intentional?

They need to get a new CEO, someone with a reputation for turning companies around.

It seems like CRUS needs to be part of a larger entity inorder to preserve and expand markets and spread the R&D over larger reveue base. What are their plans?

Those are just a few questions I would ask.
