Downsouth, Re: "I used to sell (1993) AST servers against CPQ. My price was substantially lower
and the product had good quality and support. It was Intel-based too, of course. It
was a tough sell."

In line with that, I read recently that, even with everyone and his brother coming out with Xeon based NT servers, the share held by the big three (Compaq, HP and IBM?) is increasing, up to something like 70%. Those top three are a guess, so someone correct me. I know Dell is moving up fast. So, the other fifteen or so companies doing NT servers have only 30% to divide up. Businesses do tend to stay with the big guns when buying equipment upon which their operations may depend.
