Larry, I'll try once again to respond to one of your questions. My comment regarding lightening up my position referred to something I had heard in August 1997 regarding some problems the company was having with the Klockner assembly machine, what we have referred to as line l.
Later that fall I believe the company was able to make the necessary adjustments and, according to my information, line 1 was working again, which I heard and reported on this thread. Your post which you so often have quoted is dated December 4, well after I had lightened up - and had in fact received information indicating that the Klockner machine had been satisfactorily adjusted.
Now that is also around the time that Cal Reed resigned and problems with the laminate supply surfaced, of which I was unaware back in August when I heard about the Klockner machine, but which did afford an opportunity to purchase additional shares back into my position (which never got below 50,000 shares by the way during this whole period) in Q1 1998.
As far as my sources, I have posted here and elsewhere that on occasion I talked directly to David Archibald for an update on company business -that is, until he and the others at Valence were so bombarded by investor questions that they decided, in early 1998, to curtail responses to investors and hired FRB.
As for other sources, they are both legitimate and none of your business. |
