Glanville never had a rosy situation like Buddy did in Philly and Phoenix. Buddy had total control, Glanville had a GM screwing everything up. One year in Atlanta, the GM refused to get Jerry a fullback!!!!! Also, Buddy ran a joke of an offense ("Randall, please make 3 plays a game for us"). Jerry understood that running is important, but you also have to throw the ball to beat good teams. That's why Jerry did better in the playoffs with worse teams when compared to Buddy.
